MS Excel 2003 - Level 1
Tuesday 10/07, 6 p.m. - 8:30 p.m., $129 (hands-on; includes comprehensive training guide)
Trainer: Dorsi Smith

This beginning class explains basic features, commands and options of Excel 2003 and provides the attendee with a strong foundation in the most popular spreadsheet program used in business. We will cover: Getting Started with Excel (worksheet navigation, entering data, saving), Modifying a Worksheet (move/copy data between cells, autofill, edit and undo, insert/delete, find, replace and go to cell data), Performing Basic Calculations (basic formulas, intro to functions, copy formulas and functions, absolute references), and Basic Worksheet Formatting (fonts, font sizes, borders, cell colors, column width, row height, merging cells).
  Target Audience: New or novice Excel 2003 users who would like to learn how to use the basics of Excel more effectively.

MS Access 2003 - Level 1 (part 1 and part 2)

The objective of this database class is to teach basic skills in order to use Access 2003 effectively. There are so many great topics to cover in this basic class that we have split the class into 2 evenings (5 hours of quality training!). This 2 part class will cover: 
database concepts and terminology; how to design and create tables; how to enter and manipulate data in tables; how to use queries to select and analyze information in a table; how to create data forms for viewing and inputting data; how to create reports that summarize and group data; and how to perform basic database maintenance procedures. Whew!  Melissa brings 30 years of Access database development and consulting to the classroom. Come prepared to learn a lot in these 2 evenings! Target Audience: New or novice Access users who would like to learn how to create their first database.

Easy Web Development Tool (for non-geeks!)

More and more tools are being developed to allow non-programmers a way to quickly and easily develop their own websites. Are you good at editing a Word document?  Then, you can create a website using our tool!  These template driven tools allow you to build a website that can contain photos, sound files, video files, as well as text. CMIT's tool, called "CMITsites" provides a combination of software and design materials that enable users to create and maintain their own business class website for a modest monthly fee.  At the end of this seminar, you will know how to register your own domain and have the skills necessary to launch your first website!  Target Audience: Business and residential users wanting a low cost solution to building a simple content website (for example; like this one - cmitstudio.com!).

MS Outlook 2003 Email, Contacts & Calendar

LinkedIn® - Get Connected, Get Noticed, Get a Job!

MS Publisher 2003 - Create your First Newsletter!
