This introductory class will jumpstart your business networking efforts using a powerful and popular business networking tool - LinkedIn®. In this class, we will train you on how to create your LinkedIn® account; proper business networking etiquette; how to get noticed; how to create an effective profile; how to search within LinkedIn® (search for people, business opportunities, resources, and jobs); and learn little known LinkedIn® tips and tricks from an expert user, Liz Ryan. Liz is an expert on networking. In fact, she wrote the book on it! "Happy About Online Networking: The Virtual-ly Simple Way to Build Professional Relationships".
MS Access 2007 - Level 1 (part 1 and part 2)

The objective of this database class is to teach basic skills in order to use Access 2007 effectively. There are so many great topics to cover in this basic class that we have split the class into 2 evenings (5 hours of quality training!). This 2 part class will cover: database concepts and terminology; how to design and create tables; how to enter and manipulate data in tables; how to use queries to select and analyze information in a table; how to create data forms for viewing and inputting data; how to create reports that summarize and group data; and how to perform basic database maintenance procedures. Whew! Melissa brings 30 years of Access database development and consulting to the classroom. Come prepared to learn a lot in these 2 evenings! Target Audience: New or novice Access 2007 users who would like to learn how to create their first database.
MS Outlook 2007 - Level 1

Outlook is more than just email! This class will explore the email, contact management, tasks and calendar features of Microsoft latest version of Outlook. Target Audience: New or novice Outlook 2007 users who would like to learn how to leverage all the features of Outlook 2007. This class would also be appropriate to Outlook 2003 (or earlier) users who are contemplating upgrading to Outlook or Office 2007.
MS Excel 2007 - Level 1

Wow! - Office 2007 - the newest version of Microsoft's Office Suite - looks a lot different. Microsoft implemented a brand new interface called "the ribbon". Where'd they hide all the functionality you are used to? It's all there, but located in different places. This basic class will provide the attendee with a strong base to get started using spreadsheets. We will cover: the new Ribbon interface, create, edit, save, and print a worksheet, formatting cells and worksheets, basic calculations, sorting data. Target Audience: New or novice Excel 2007 users who would like to become more proficient at using Excel.
MS Word 2007 - Level 1

This beginning class covers basic features and options of Microsoft Word 2007 and provides the attendee with a strong foundation in this most popular word processing software package. We will cover: the new features of Word 2007 such as the Ribbon, create, edit, save, proof, preview and print a document, learn how to copy, move, format and delete text, use margins, paragraph/line spacing, page numbers, text alignment, tabs and indents to customize the look and format of your document, use Find and Replace to search for or replace text, use the undo key to fix mistakes, use auto correct to automatically correct typographical and spelling errors, and using the spell checker, thesaurus and grammar tools. Target Audience: New or novice Word 2007 users who would like to learn how to use the basic features of Word.

We will demo how to quickly create an email campaign using one of the many available templates. Then, we will show you how to update your contact list, and send the email to your contacts. Lastly, we will review all of the available tracking and reporting tools (see who opened your email; who forwarded it; who clicked on any of the links; etc.).
